I've got a pair of water jacketed exhaust for my boat and I've been having a hell of a time getting a good seal between the exhaust and the snail. Any ideas on what kind of gasket I can use. I forget what I am using not but clearly it sucks cause it's leaking now. Ideas? Resurface the faces?

Yup probably needs to be pull apart and surfaces cleaned had same problem on mine bought new gaskets from Hardin and scraped the old sily cone off and was good to go

I took all bolts out of the exhaust to put new ones in and got the surfaces refaced. I'm looking for a quality gasket that can withstand the heat from exhaust and water from the header. Specifics would be appreciated!

I met this guy at the big 3 a month+ back... hes the only one I've seen make the xtra thick gasket. His # 909-717-8637 Daves Gaskets. Use ultra black on both sides an on/around studs. I use painters tape wrapped around log/snail shoulder during install an wipe the silicone up an pull tape for a nice clean application. The one on the left is the typical gasket you will see an the tend to crack at studs.
