Cheby guys won't appreciate this post cuz their too busy repairing their stuff instead of building extra motors...  So the wife and I follow up on a craigslist add for a BBF. The sellers friend is in the scrap business but doesn't want to mess with cleaning up the oil and such on motors and sells this motor to the guy we met today who isn't Internet or Ford Savy so he lets his daughter list it on Craig's.  He hopes the engine is a Boss 429 and in his disappointment decides to sell it because it only has a 2 bolt main and described it as just a regular 429.  Nope this guy sold me a virgin 429 CJ D0VE-A motor complete with D0VE-C heads also Virgin.  Now he's a car guy so I didn't steal it but I just retired and this is going to be a great project. Almost feel bad for tearing it apart. Some Grand Torino restoration would kill for this thing.

Ok your just a shit talker. My 35 year old bbc bottom end looks like brand new.  I love ford's for their innovation in motors these days, I have a brand new ecoboost explorer and it is badass but building a Ford big block for a jet boat just costs more. To each their own

i agree with ^^^^ everyone has there own opinion, I am a die hard gm guy but also appreciate anything that has to do with hotrod's or motors weather there ford or chevy as long as there done right. Congrats on the find and good luck with the build.
