Is it me or does that engine sit really low in the boat? Might be time for a rail kit and engine plates that give it a lift.

Are the headers rubbing the fiberglass?

New headers are a VAST improvment over the old

low motor = sbc, oil pan is 1/2" off of pump intake, d/l at 2*......close (1/4") but not rubbing.
any thoughts on keeping stainless from blueing?

 thanks,

I'm unaware of anyone making S/S boat headers for the SBC. Maybe, but I bet they're chrome, but as far as blueing, just deal with it! They're gonna blue up to a bit beyond the water injection lines no matter what you do. That's how a trailer queen is discerned from a boat thats used a lot anyway, take it as a badge of honor.

OC2 has a point, they NEED to get off the transom. Fires can start that way! Those fockers get HOT! I thought Moo's engine mounted low, HOLY CRAP!

Looking good though! I'd really be looking into getting that engine up where it needs to be though. At least a little. Else go TT and call it a day......

It looks like those headers were made for a v-drive and not a jet.

the headers are made for a sprint car out of stainless (rocket headers)
had to add the water injection (like the old ones) out of ss also.
I have them up about  1/2" off the transom. the old ones ran pretty cool after a long run (like black paint on a hot day)
