What octane do you guys run ?? does Octane affect horsepower?? I think I filled up with 87 octane not because Im cheap but I didnt know if it mattered?? My dad said to always run 91? should you use octane boosters?? and one more question for Ya'll what kind of oil do you guys run Ive gotten a couple different opinions on this....give me your opinions 
As much as I hate to say "the old man is right again"!
I used to run 110 octane race fuel in the boat, now just run the best fuel at the pump (normally 91) as far as octane "boosters" I am really not a fan.
The added octane does not give more HP by itself, it allows a more agressive tune up, the BTU/lb. are virtually the same nowadays because of the oxygenate used (normally methanol or ethanol depending on where you buy your fuel). The octane rating is changed by the addatives put in the fuel of today, it used to be a different blend all together...
As for oil, I use Amsoil synthetic for everything I own, not saying you have to use synthetic, but its pretty impressive stuff....My 468 BBC gets 14w40 racing oil (has zinc addatives)...
