HELP !!! Olds tunnel ram/HEI fit/fix

I just tried to stab the the dizzy and it hits the t-ram.
Igonna grind the intake soon if I dont hear from anyone soon. Not even sure if that will work.

I'm not a 100% sure about the Olds, but I know the HEI style distibutor will not clear some tunnel rams even with grinding.

Before you start grinding, look to see if you can come up with a small body distributor first.

Theres a Mallory Distributor Dual Point on  ebay  for BIN  for 30 bucks. I think   you can change  that  to a Mag style  pickup  or  put in the  photo cell. Its  worth a shot ? AA, I have two olds powered boats, one has a 425, and the other a 455. One the 425, I have an Offenhauser tunnel ram and I use a MSD Distributor. I had the same trouble. check out this link, I run this one on my boat and it work great....

Thanx guys.
I'm running around town buying different stuff. Stock 1970 442 dizzy, accell piont eliminator kit, coil,cap, wires mostly from different stores cause the had it in stock. That way hopefully I can makeit to the lake Sun or Mon. Still have to rewire the ignition change, mount remote oil filters, mount new fuel pump,run lines and stab the motor in,then break in the cam , move motor forward hook drive shaft.


then go to the lake.
