Hey all, I have a 460 in my boat that I would like to get a little more power out of.

The motor is pretty much stock to my knowledge as far as the lower end, cam, valvetrain and heads. The heads are d3ve, I'm not sure if any work has been done to them.  I'd like to find a set of c9 or d0 heads for it.

Up top it has a torquer intake and 800 Cfm edlebrock carb. Boat is a 21' Taylor and does about 50-55 right now at 4100-4200 rpm on a jc pump with an A impeller.

I'm looking for some small upgrades I can do for relatively cheap that can help me squeeze out a little more speed.

To be honest unless you go deep in the motor the gains you will get from bolt ons are not worth the money. Your best bang for buck is a place diverted and put the boat on a diet.

It looks like the block is an 86 but I can barely read the casting numbers from the pic I took.

If your engine is in fact a 1986 release then you had better find out more about it before you do a D0VE head swap.  Your engine might have the factory forged flat top pistons and switching to D0VE heads will raise compression so high that you could destroy it if you run pump gas.  If it has the typical dished pistons then this does not apply.

If you have a "Torker" intake and not a "Torker 2" intake, then you have sizeable intake restriction on your engine.
