Title: Houston I have a problem...
Post by: 76NORDIC on February 24, 2009, 07:01:32 PM
I bought some tt headers, and when I put them up against my original exhaust , looked like NO problem ;D , when I took one side off, and put a couple of bolts in the header, I have a major line up prob from where the header lands to where the exhaust tip comes in from the transom :banghead: :banghead: any ideas guys

Take them back to the jackass that sold them to you and put them in his ass!

KIDDING! The hose that Rex or anyone else sells will have enough flex in it to make that offset with no problems. Make damn sure you have the plumbing 100% CORRECT for that setup, you'll only get one chance................

Hey Brian ya think they might fit up there ??? ??? ;D  I will check the flex hose out.   My only concern is that I will have a downward shaped U going out, the same as a trap on a sink. That work on exhaust ??? ???   Thanks for your input also Skip

Looks sort of like you be needin some angled tips  ;),  The ones I picked up for my Carrera are set up to be angled out of the transom to meet the exhaust manifolds... Good luck!

How did this work out? I don't think the rex hose has much "flex" to it. I put a tall block in and just that made it a pain.

Hasnt been taken care of yet, and I wasnt going the Rex route, wanted to use Tom cause I,m sure he has run across this before, and wont sell me crap I dont need, also think I will prolly need different tips, but not sure, Tom will figure it out.   Will post pics when all is said and done

bring it to blythe i will help ya fix it. lol.

ya that rubber exhaust hose should work just fine. you could also mod your tips and put a little angle on them to meet your headers. that is what  i did to mine
