To me, the flat iron with the slot is the problem.
It has no structural integrity, especially for steering.
Steering cables like to be in the same plane as the steering arm mounting point.
If you disconnect the slotted piece, is the steering cable and wheel centered? (Mines a JC W/ Diverter, and doesn't have any extension for the diverter, and steering wheel is centered and straight)
I've never seen that type of hardware on an E pump, looks super sketchy. Loss of steering is no joke. An adjustment slot shouldn't be anywhere near the steering cable. Double nut everything. Even Nylox nuts.
