So whats the best way to secure a scoop so it does not keep flipping around? I tightened the nut down as tight as possible n the damn thing keeps turning around. I finally turned it backwards but I dont like the "look" as much.

Yes put a flame arrestor on it.

Then theres this  made from a V-drive stailess cav control rod and a couple of plate pads for my Old R/R boat Tom

Super easy one.

Go Get two 1/4 X 20 chrome acorn nuts (Ace Hardware carries them) and two super short 1/4 X 20 bolts. With the scoop on the carb, get is as straight as you can and mark where the float level adjustment screw in the rear lines up with the scoop on both sides of wehre the screw would hit. Then remove the scoop and turn it upside down and drill two holes where your marks are and install the bolts from the inside and the acorns on the bottom, the nuts will keep the scoop centered.

The roll pin deal is pretty fricken sweet too though...I'm not that smart....
