Im changing out my old distributor for a new MSD distributor.
How important is it to be a Marine distributor or not.
My mechanic said it doesn't matter.
Under a hatch? Marine dizzy.
Exposed engine? Either I guess.
FYI: MSD= Must Stay Dry.
Think about how often you use your boat under 3000 rpm. And MSD is just another single fire dizzy at that point (above 3000 rpm)
GM HEI (Davis/DUI) is more than up to the task and is as reliable as you can get.
Parts are easy to get, too.
