-10an from tanks to pump, then from pump to regulator is -10an or -8an? Why are most electric pumps 3/8? Can someone please post pics of let me know what size hose to run. For a 540ci motor in a 18jet
Thanks

-10an I believe is 3/8 Id. All the way to the carb I would think to be sufficient. That depends on what cfm carb , manifold combo you are using (dual top tunnel ram)
Also there are mechanical pumps capable of feeding a a 540 too

I am only running a 3/8 fuel line from a mechanical pump for 555 in a jet boat. I ran the same motor in my 30ft offshore boat with no issues and it ran 3/8 from the fuel tank. This is just my mock up

So what would you guys recommend, -8 an from tanks to carb or -10 an from tanks to pump, then -8 an from pump to carb? Or dose it not make a difference?
Thanks

I have -6 (3/8ths) size hose and fittings from each tank to fuel pump to regulator to carb. 496 bbc. Zero issues. I run a Clay Smith fuel mechanical pump. Regulated down to 7 psi
