I wanted to take a minute and share a carb guy i found. I've known him for a few years now, met him through facebook. He does very good work at very reasonable prices. Been doing them 20+ years on the side.
I recently got rid of my Demon 850 on the boat and had him build me a 750. It took him a few weeks to get it done but i am more than happy with the results.
He does everything from Tunnel ram carbs, to Vacuum secondary, to 4150's to dominators. Below are a couple pics of my 4150 he did, and also some other carbs from his facebook page.
The 750 he built me, he milled the choke horn, blended the venturies, ended up with a dry flow of 775. He powder coated it in candy red, and some other work to it. I bolted it on, adjusted the curb idle and took it to elsinore yesterday. I had to play jet games a little bit and ended up 2 sizes larger in primaries, and 3 in secondaries. I gained 2 mph at elsinore over the demon (on motor, no nos runs yet) and I cannot put into words the improvements in drivability. I know i can cruise around all day now and not need new plugs by the end of the day. If i'm cruising 3-3500 or so, and flat foot it. It feels like i dropped 2 gears in a car. It accelerates much harder than before. Top end like i said is about the same. We will see how it does at the river. And my plugs look very clean
If you have any questions I can get ahold of him, also he is very responsive to messages/posts on facebook. Here are a couple links to his facebook and some pics
