Need some advice

Starter went bad bottom mount bbc what's the best way to get it out , remove the water log exhaust manifold  or can it be removed carefully  with exhaust  still in place. Need to some input thank you in advance.

It can be removed without it but don't . It takes longer and by the time your done you will wish you had just taken the little extra time to remove the log!! Lol ask me how I know!!!

It does happen,  but in theory it's already warped. You just free it when you unload the pressure from the bolts.

Ok gotcha, black rtv will work for gasket, was thinking of just having it rebuilt it not a wild compression  engine or anything like that didn't think I should put a gear reduction
