New Cam Maybe

I think I have found my new cam. I am going to have to call Bullet Cams to have them do some research as to the exact spec and then change it over to hydraulic roller lifters.. As I don't have access to the cam card, it will be a little work. I do not want to use solid rollers, don't want to be 10 or 15 miles out and then have to find a ride/tow back.

Here is what I know of the cam:
.625 / .617 Lift   1.6 / 1.55 Rocker Ratio    Doesn't look like it will be real hard on the springs
259 / .263 Duration      Don't know if this was advertised or at .050 Might be a bit to much for a lake boat
114 Lobe Separation

761 HP at 5700
802 Torque at 4600

This was a 535 CU IN ,10.79 compression Hemi. I am running 500 inches Going to have to look at my compression, original compression about 13 to 1, now block has about .100 more deck height and uncut heads with way to big of ports..

If I can get this figured out, I think this might work great with a A impeller.

I think Bullet is an excellent choice for cams, my personal favorite.  I would talk to them more about your intended application.  I would think that with a lift of .625/.617, 259/263 duration would be @ .050.  If you are getting a new cam anyway, you could safely push into the .700 range and take better advantage of your heads.  Bullet would provide you with a lobe profile that would be easy on your valve train.

For comparison sake, comparing Manley Severe Duty valves for a BBC vs. Hemi.  Bbc 2.25 dia intake with a 5.218 stock length 3/8" stem weighs 148g.  BBC 1.88 dia exhaust with a 5.354 stock length 3/8" stem weighs 134g.  Hemi 2.25 intake with a 5.424 stock length 5/16" stem weighs 136g.  Hemi 1.94 dia exhaust with a 4.865 stock length 5/16" stem weighs 107g.  The Hemi has a valve mass advantage over the Chevy.  This should help raise the frequency of your springs, improving longevity.

The  761 HP at 5700 and 802 Torque at 4600 would put you solidly into a AA impeller.  It sounds like you are changing everything, going from a 535 to a 500 cu in.  The same duration and overlap in a smaller displacement engine will push the RPM range up.  That may put you back into the A impeller range.  Being that your first engine produced that much power at that low RPM, take advantage of the largest impeller that your engine will turn.  It will be a rocket ship out of the hole, have good top speed, and have better economy at cruising speed.

I understand that Hemis are naturally prone to reversion.  If you are running wet exhaust, discuss this with Bullet and your head porter if you are having such work done.  I would refrain from "sinking" the intake valves.  "Sinking" the exhaust valve may be beneficial.
