Oil cooler Info..

Just wondering what oil temp conditions or situation is a oil cooler need ? I've noticed high oil temps with new motor build 270degrees when I'm on it hard .. thanks for any input

I have a 10 quart pan and ran 8 quarts still didn't help ...

I would add an oil cooler if you are running that temp. Just my opinion and what I did with my new motor. At testing was running 260 added oil cooler running 180

Dont u want a certain temp to burn off condensation on the oil ?

Sorry forgot rest of my response, normal driving at 180 degrees and running my motor hard I'm at 210 220 degrees. This is on a 496 blower motor

Just making sure it's worth the money and it needed  .. looking at a Dan Olson cooler .. there kind of pricey lol . But I guess u get what u pay for . What brand oil cooler did u go with ?

That's what I am running. You get what you pay for is what I go by. It was worth it for me on my application
