Where and how is your filter mounted to require a drain back valve?
In the stock location you can go either way, it is really so close to the oil pump it makes little/no difference.
If you are mounted remote and have a long line run or a large capacity oil cooler you should run a drain back filter, unless the filter is mounted really low relative to the motor.
Wix, NAPA gold, K&N, Amsoil are all great filters IMO.
What are your concerns?
