I know I saw on a post that all 454 oil filters were the same number..now I cant find the post..it talked about FRAM being crap and to use AC !! can I get the part number for the filter?? Im thinkin one was like PH1218?? the shop switched my filter for a different one thats WAY more expensive

lol when i tried to take the filter off of my engine after the break in, the nut on the K&N filter rounded off lol, that phucker was on there good lol. i ended up poking a hole in the filter with a flat blade and pounding a 5/16 philips all the way thru the filter and then it wanted to turn lol.

I sold Wix filters for many years, and have to agree that they are one of the best filters available.  If you ever get a chance to cut open a Wix filter and a Fram of the same type you will see the difference.  The Fram will have a lot less filter media (pleated paper) inside.  I've told a lot of customers that I wouldn't even run a Fram filter on my lawn mower
