so im leaking oil and want to pull my motor cause its driving me crazy and while i was at it i wanna put a 10qt on but i noticed i only have about an inch between my 6qt and the bottom of my hull.any ideas on wut i can do?

Max pan depth (pan rail to lowest part of sump) on almost all jet boat applications is 7 3/4 to maybe 8" to maintain proper drive line alignment Tom

  What ever you do dont buy a Milodon marine pan for a 460 its not designed to work on forward facing engines.

    Ran one on Moo with no problems. Only issue was it WAS a little tight to the hull in the front, but so was the Ford Racing front sump that came out of the boat, which is weird, but that engine sits VERY low in the boat. JE pump and was designed for a low profile engine cover... I haven't seen many jet boats where the engine is so low mounted, either, so I think it's a non-issue. If you got an inch of clearance, any of 'em will fit, Milodon included.

Moo's going with a Dooley this time around for that reason, and the fact that I had one, and then will have 2 Milodons for the twin jet boat...

 I am running a Canton Racing 10 qt that has internal baffles and windage tray, its 7 3/4 inch deep, on a 77 Charger Day Cruiser
  with a 502 ford. I purchased the Canton pump pickup as well. It fits just fine although a little snug at back of pan. What ever

Couldn't agree more have had prior issues with the "M" pans on both BBF and BBC and resist using them Canton is the "shizzle ,just used one on the big Ford stroker we built and going to do the same on the one were building now ! very NICE product !
