olds E-85, blower build up?

It will be a month or so before I start this project.
Is ANYONE interested in following this? I will go through the process of converting 2 holleys from
gas to run on E-85 fuel. This'll be a bare bones low $ ,yet well put together mill. I'll learn some
new stuff too. I'll have ta figure out the digital camera stuff first.  :)

I am very interesed! I have been talking to mechanics and asking questions on all types of boards about running E-85. All you have to do for the carb is buy a alcohol rebuild kit. And make sure you run all alcohol fuel line. ( E-85 eats rubber pretty quick from what I hear )

Gas station about 20 min from my house and the cost is about the same a premiun , give or take 10 cents. And is supposed to be around 104 or 105 octane.

my truck runs E85 gas....but the nearest station is 1 1/2 hours away.

You get 15% less fuel economy out of E-85.

Very interested ,after the Presidents speach a cuople years ago I got inspired to build a E85 sbc small jet but couldn't get any response from the ethanol reps/manufactures/industry for hints ideas or support Tom

I guess I should rephrase the way I said that , In order to get you jet boat to run on E-85 and not be lean you need to re jet your carb to use 15% more fule then if you were running gasoline.

2sav is correct...you can run either unledded or e85 or a mix of both in the FlexiFuel motors. I have yet to put any E85 in it.

also, i was told by the dealer that even if i run straight unledded in my FlexiFuel E85 compatible motor, i will get 1-3 mpg less on average then a non E85 compatible motor. I dont know if that holds any truth.

Heads...probly rework the stockers.. not sure yet $ wise.

E-85...This stuff rocks!!!  1   It's only $2.30 a gallon out here.
                                   2   Even factoring using 20% more it's STILL cheaper than race gas.
                                   3   With a supercharged application it dramatically cools the intake charge!
                                   4   This makes more pwr without preingnition,detenation problems
                                   5   Less maint. compared to methinal
