So here is where i am at. I bought a PerTronix Ignitor® Solid-State Ignition Systems ML-181. For the coil i bought a PerTronix 40511 Flame-Thrower 40,000 Volt 3.0 ohm Coil. The current coil I have is a Accel 8140c 12v (from what i saw online it has 1.4 ohms).

 So here is my questions as I am concerned with jumping 1.4 ohms to 3.0 ohms.

 Will i be able to use the current wires on the 3.0 ohms?

 What is better the 3.0 ohms or the 1.5 ohms and why is it better?

 Sorry if they are dumb questions as I am still learning. I just don't want to create issues. Thanks in advance for your help.

that's what I hear. but what is difference of the 1.5 ohms and 3.0 ohms. I currently have 1.4 and bought the 3.0 and don't want it to cause problems.

Ohms is the measurement of resistance. You need to see which coil is compatible with your new module. As long as that is what is recommended by the manufacturer then you are good to go.
