So if you seen my other thread on the puke tank you already know that i am planning on using my evac tubes for water...this is to keep water police off of my case at some destinations on the river...this piece is only temporary on a broke ass bidget so here it is

I don't understand what you are trying to do.

he changed from a tube going from the valve cover to the header, to a tube to a catch can, then is going to fun a water line to the tip of the header... so it LOOKS like he's running water from far. 


is there ANY chance that water will go backwards out of the header and down to the exhaust valves? 

The OT's I have have a fitting near the same area as your evac fittings.  My water flow is from the pump to the water jacketed glenwoods manifolds, into the thermostate housing, out of the waterpump ports and to the OT's.  I used a gate valve to regulate the water flow to get the desired operating temperature.

unfortunately you are comparing apples to oranges...the tubes on the headers that i have water running through are actually set-up to be like the breathers on your valve covers...the exhaust creates a vacuum effect and pulls the crank case pressure out of the block...now i am using the puke tank that the blue lines coming off of the valve cover are going to...it catches excess oil, and is used as the breather...the now available tubes that are on the headers i am using for water...

there is that possibility, but i am hoping the distance that has to go i am hoping the water turns to vapor by then...i am thinking there is going to be very little water if any to make it to the head...but a plug reading will tell that tale...i have a video of it working in a little bit...

hey patt the evac tubes are about 1" away from the end of the collector if i am understanding you correctly

also the fitting is chocked down to 1/4"npt

im still trying to picture what you had in mind...i dont want my engine full of water  ...i figured my troubled area would be getting off of plane, but so far it only seems to mist, but a water test will tell more with the pump pushing the water

i believe it is a general rule, and i would say most places arent really going to care much, but i would also say that heavily populated areas of the river will probably enforce it more then other places...or use it as a reason to check for a dui...technically it is considered a muffling device...this deal i built is to run on parker for the weekend and then it will come right back off! i havent had a single problem on mead, and even on a holiday weekend two rangers drove by my idling boat and just waved at me...mind you the exhaust was facing the covered slip parking, and was really echoing loud...i have gotten the finger a couple of times from the regulars that sit on the dock and watch...the other people love it! think one trip i might use terrys zoomies for shits n giggles!
