So it's coming time for headers on my brendella I'd like to hear some input on what u guys think about these products. Also I've got an Olds and I'd like to keep the space as close to the head as possible seeing my hull is a Lil narrower between the block and the boat......

What about a set of twistes would look clean on that hot rod but that's just me, very clean boat by the way bud

I'm down but will they clear? Also what's the deal w short collector and long? Torque difference?  What brand bro?

When i went from the basset bell ends to the twisties I noticed a performance improvement. Better exhaust flow no sharp bends. More flow more power. But like was already mentioned go with what you like you won't see huge gains

I know exactly what you are dealing with.  I had to go with the traditional style header on my Hondo because of clearance issues.  On the traditional style the third pipe back is the one that sticks out the farthest from the heads.  On twisties it's the forth pipe back and with the shape of the inner gunnels it'll be very tight.



I had 1" between the pipe and the inner gunnel.  I added small metal heat shields to make sure it didn't burn the hull.

that's my exact hull bro I got like at the most narrow 9 inches ! What header did u go with? I'm sure there's some stuff I can do gain more clearance but I also have a feeling that some sort of heat protection may be needed

I'm using a set of Bassett's.

If you're considering buying new, check with MadSkills (Nick) about building you a set.

I put Bassett twisties on my 76 T-deck Hondo (BBF), but had to go back to Bassett twice to have them rolled tighter. This was back in about '96, but they may still have the dimensions.

bassett it is..... I'll call them and ask about what they know bout the hondo brendella family of boats I'm sure they should be familiar.... I don't know how to get a hold of nick lol what's his info?
