Im looking for a new starter for my 454 . what is the best starter and should I go with auto or marine starter?   I have a open engine

High torque mini starter from jegs. Best place to get it.

I have a stock one it was on the motor I bought for my boat but I have a top mount on the boat l don't know anything about it didn't even try it. you can have it I'm in grand terrace

Google starter for 2002 corvette. I believe there are 2 different ones. You need the one that matches your flywheel teeth (assuming 168 teeth). I got mine at autozone. Lifetime warranty. Any isdues and you know it will always be available. Very light compared to a stocker. Be sure to use starter bolts. Dont cut corners here. I found it quick with a little research.
