These heads require CJ headers per their spec sheet.
Does anyone know for SURE, will the long bolt logs cover the exhaust ports? I'm hoping someone is using this combination so I don't have to pull a log and compare it to a gasket port.
It will be necessary to gasket match the exhaust of the thru-transom logs so as to not obstruct the cylinder head's exhaust port exit. The port roof heights are different between the two components in question and as I recall the exhaust header mounting holes in the TFS Street/Strip head are relocated on those heads.
Will the long-bolt thru-transom exhaust's mounting flanges cover the roof of the exhaust ports on those heads? I can't recall with 100% certainty that they will, but some simple measuring can easily answer that question...just compare the exhaust bolt hole-to-roof dimensions between the two parts. As I recall, no problem sealing there, it's only the port alignment. Place the gasket against the cylinder head's exhaust flange, align the mounting holes and mark the roof of the port on the gasket, then transfer that gasket to the thru-transom flange and mark the height to which the log's roof will need to be raised relative to the mounting bolt holes between the two parts.
Perhaps someone here can provide you with cylinder head dimensions (bolt center to roof height) for you to compare to your exhaust dims before you purchase the heads, but as I recall it's not major issue, just another mod
