So I went to mojave today hit some nice coves and ran the F$&@ outa the boat
When I started it at the beginning of the day 55 or 60 psi oil pressure tuned it and tweaked it ran it for a bit 
Pressure dropped to about 25-30 psi when I was finally at temp for a while
Running flat out for a while ... It would hold at 25 and would even drop lower when I was on it for a while
Slow down and it would hold at 25-30
I stopped and chilled for a couple hours and started it up and it made 50 psi again...
Wtf is going on I mean I do run it hard
Do I need a cooler ? I run 15w40 rotella

Ok so
It is an electric gauge with the bell type sender
It has a 12 quart fabricated oil pan with a windage tray and baffle
The motor is a 468 big block chevy full roller solid lifters how much detail you want lol

I'm going to agree that it sounds like too much oil.

Mine does it too. It's the heat. I have been trying to figure out a way to cool the oil that won't cost me an arm and a leg. I have a gen 5 block so I could use the factory oil cooling ports in the block. When the oil heats up to idle temp it drops a bit from thinning out. Meaning the hotter the oil the thinner it is equalling less pressure. When I run mine hard ( over 3500 rpm's) for a bit and come down to idle the oil is HOT and the pressure drops to 15 psi. There are other factors that you may have to consider, block expansion vs bearing expansion etc. Run it. Get a cooler if you must but if it's HOT and goes below 15 psi at idle, I would worry. Just a theory I've been working on. I could be wrong. But over time and heat cycles my pressure gets worse. Change the oil and it goes back to my first sentence. I may be wrong.

Ok well I'll start by draining some and see what it does ? I'll go a QT at a time I guess

Doesn't really matter. A tray can actually make things worse.

So drain 3 quarts and add a quart of stabilizer
Lucas oil stabilizer is ok ?

Yes.  Be sure to make at least a temporary new mark on the dipstick. Sharpie works ok.
