Water in the oil

After a fun lake day came home cleaned the boat up getting ready to put it away until the south wind regatta and I check the oil and BAM oil white and about two extra qrts so I pull all the spark plugs out and #8 has water in it !!! Mind you the boat ran great so I pulled the intake off and gasket seemed fine did see signs of water in the intake on cylinder 8 so now what I was thinking of putting new intake gaskets on it and changing the oil or should I go further any thoughts !!!!!!

Whelp pulled the heads had them checked for cracks and being warped they checked out good gaskets looked good filled the block up with water and found a pin hole in the cyclinder

At the top or bottom of the cylinder

Dam that sucks!! If it was the bottom you could use blok fill to where the pin hole was.

How can some go about to avoid a pinhole in your cylinder just asking. Im new to jet boating.

Normally caused by poor casting. Sometimes excessive electrolysis/rust.

I've seen more cracks than porosity.

i would say drain the water out of you block when not using it never had this happen before definitely not a crack just a pin hole ! Pisses water through it under just the weight of the water in the block time to tear it dwn re sleeve it its a shame tho motor only has about 30 hrs on it

Yes it does was thinking of painting the motor yellow that might pop it even more plus there's a hint of yellow on the boats just don't know if the yellow will last

I used the POR-15 Chevrolet red on my Corvette engine. I was pretty impressed with their products. I can't seem to find any information, nor can I find the can, but I put on (what I remember) stainless pigment rust preventive paint followed by the engine enamel. I wouldn't buy the kit, just the POR-15 black and the engine enamel in the smallest quantity (it's enough for many engines).

At least you'll be able to see if there are any leaks. I did white on my 12v and let's just say it didn't stay white for long.

A few squirts of Zep citrus cleaner and some spot-free rinse at the self-serve car wash will keep it looking nice. Just need to make an effort to keep the Exxon Valdez oil slick from forming in the bilge.
