Carb question?

Hey guys,,,so this carb is a edelbrock 1404 or 07 ,,,pic shows a hole in the back threaded on the inside..should this be plugged? Seems to me it would be sucking air..probably why i cant get it adjusted correctly? hey general lee this is that carb i picked up in bay area u found or me..lol

Plug it or if you have valve cover pcv breathers hook em up there.  Its a vacuum leak and it'll make you idle like crap and lean as hell if you're driving it like that.

So i plugged it...got it to idle...now i want to do a break in but i think neighbors are gonna hate me cuz 30 mins of loudness...😝

i take it down to the harbor, pay $12 and drop it in the water for the loud stuff.  living close to water pays off.

All sound like great ideas only dont like salt water all though i do work in it...i to live in a cul de sac...talked to one of my neighbors this afternoon and he said " fuk it wake them up " so i waited till noon then let her rip...i kno everyone and there cool...it was just me being tooooo thoughtful Hahhaha
