I was painting my BBC tonight and realized one of my water inlet plates was cracked. I want to use steel braided lines and was wondering if-10 fittings are a good choice. Or if it matters which - number you choose.  Thank you for anyone's comments.

I run -8 for my float. No issues yet. All waterlines.

You shouldn't have a problem. I run Mercruiser aluminum exhaust center riser manifolds. Similar style as yours.

That works. That's a little pricier than what I use. I have a polished aluminum one that needs the NPT fittings installed. But same result. I guess you can say mine is BLING. The one you are showing is BLING-BLING! HA!!

So you can use the one that uses NPT with steel braided lines?  That is the one I have currently on my boat. I thought you needed the ones that uses - style threads. I rather stay with the bling. I can't afford the bling bling!

Yes you can use those.  I run those on mine. Just buy the npt to a-n adaptor.

I use the same water divider check out Eddie marine in rancho they should have them in stock

it's around 30 for the divider I think for a pair of inlets is 30 also but the other one is stainless around 100 just for the divider
