here is the opening I made for the diverter cable. I had put painters tape down to keep it from chattering, but that was a bad idea....it jumped the first instant I touched the saw to the hull.....

I pulled the tape off and then slowly and carefully made the hole.... I ran it backwards thru most of the transom, and then forward for the last bit. .... (maybe I just screwed up,

but even though it gouged the gel coat, the cable seal covers the chip.)
I'll post another pic of the finished product.
The other pic is the gap in the steering tube bolt to the diverter arm. I found a nylon spacer that fits very good, and have a new bolt ordered as the old one was a bit short .
getting closer..... the weather is actually starting to warm up..... low 80's forecasted for the rest of the week, and NO☻ &%$#@*%^ rain!!!
