Took the boat out to get wet today and now we're sittin here like this...  Cant get past 3500 rpm without it stumbling all over.  Messed with timing, messed with carb air screws, adjusted floats and Nothing!   Only thing i cant check is fuel pressure.  Just a lot of poping at half throttle.....  Time to start drinkin 🍺

Yeah i know but i was just grabbing at straws...  Seems like popping thru intake.  Just feels like it loads up bad and then cleans up when you back out.

Sounds like an ignition problem

Yeah I'm betting on at least one of the above. Take carb to pro rebuilder. Set timing to 32/34 degrees at 3000 rpm. That should get you in the ballpark. Good luck. :-)

Nope.  Think its definitely in the carb.  Took it off and put it on my truck (68 chevy shortbed ) and it ran like shit....
