What battery to buy for a chevy 454 ?

Do I have to buy an expensive marine battery to use the boat or can I just get one from autozone for a 454

I get mine from Costco like 75/80 bucks and 1 yr full replacement it's also a marine battery I have 2. Both work great for my bbc

I also use the Costco deep cycle marine batteries, i believe there around 700cca

Im not sure about auto zone
Ive used the Costco batteries for over 10 years now, 1 year full replacement with no hassles and its a deep cycle battery for under a 100 bucks

Thanks for the invite I'm getting the boat together as fast as I can I found a battery for it at costco looks like it will be ready soon maybe next weekend it will be ready to go to the river

Costco Car battery here and its starting its 4th year now. Its a interstate bought at Costco for 65 bucks

Never do that, but have heard max of 1 minute or 2. Always start first, then turn on water. Usually a few seconds after running.

Make sure your running water through pump and motor. If you can disconnect your pump from motor.
