i have the same motor in my spectra and i bought a 750 demon dp. i dont think that you need to go with a demon i only bought it because it was a friends and i got it on the cheap. i would run nothing smaller than a 750 dp, just run it really good like how you plan on driving that boat the most and check a plug, then jet accordingly. dont make the common mistake of over carbing a stock or almost stock motor.

850 dp and stay away from the edelbrock. go with a holley

850 DP is what I'm running on my mostly stock 460. Works good for me.

how do i identify what holley i have . cant find any numbers to cross reference

6oo cfm is ok But 850 in 460 is what you need. What is more important. Is how it is jetted . Or in edlebrok"s case meter rods. I have seized an engine because the carb was to small and not jetted properly. It is like oxygen to aks. Holley Vs edlbrok Holly is much more precise and much more tempermental. That why I have one in my jet. Edlbrok Does not hold tune as well but is less tempermental And very easy to take apart on the water. That is why I have one on my fishing boat. The difference between marine and non marine in both Is the breather tube that lets gas out of the bowls when flooded. The marine carb has a 90 on the tube so gas goes back in the carb and down in the manifold. Not all over valve covers and on a hot manifold. I hope this helps I don't know alot but this I do because I just got schooled in it . Thanks to montie
