I make 900 on motor and 1200 on the bottle and a magna fuel 500 will do the trick both motor and bottle. And yes I have a return. Supply lines and -10 fittings.

I have a daytona as well and run a products engineering fuel pump and filter combo with a bypass line off the pump. And run a magna fuel 4 port regulator.  The pump supports the engine and the bottle .

Another magnafuel 500 a lil over fueled as of now 675hp with a 32 jet but bought it for future use for bigger motor. All -12 into pump , -12 to -10 Y to regulators. By pass is a -8 return straight to tanks. After fighting debris from new hoses I have yet to have a problem with this pump. Going in a year now.

I recommend a good pre-filter. Im running the magnafuel unit. Its well built and looks very high quality.

I run a diesel "lift" pump made by Ppe. On diesels its added inline with the stock fuel pump to help the fuel system keep up added hp. Works flawless on my boat. Has a built in pre filter and regulator http://www.pacificp.com/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=141

I don't know if it's right or wrong but seems to work just fine on my boat... I have the magnafuel 300 on my boat, -10 all the way to the regulator at the carb and 2 -8 one to each bowl... I had a -10 fitting welded in the back of each of my tanks and plumbed each tank with a -10 ball valve, I used the stock fuel selector as my return for the pump, I open the -10 valve for witch ever tank I want to run and just switch the stock fuel selector to that tank... Then I can close that -10 valve and open the other one and switch the stock selector to the other tank...

How come everyone has fuel returns? Am I missing something? I've got -8 from each tank to fuel water seperator and a -8 from that to the pump then -8 to a distribution block and -6 to each carbs and it works Bitchin. What the need for  a return? I don't even have a valve for each tank they draw almost perfectly evenly

I could be wrong but, I think it has something to with keeping the fuel flowing so it helps keep the pump cool.
