White paste on dipstick
« on: July 17, 2018, 01:55:59 PM »
I’m running water lines to my headers not sure of anything done to motor and after every time I run it I will pull the dipstick and there is a thick white paste like substance on the dipstick. White it off and then the oil looks like regular oil (not milky at all). Just changed it with vr1 and a wix filter ran it last weekend and same thing. Wondering if anyone knows what is causing this.

By chance are you running a water pressure relief on the inlet from your jet pump? I had the same issue and now I have no worries.  Regulates the pressure to a max 15 psi so NO seepage of water due to excessive water pressure.  Do some research on this and I’ll bet you’ll find it helps.

Does that connect out of the block to the water lines for the headers or on the inlet from the transom to the block?
