I have double valve springs and the inner spring has more coils on one end than the other.  Some were installed with the more coils up and some were installed with the more coils down.  Does it matter?  I installed them all back with the more coils down so there would be less spring movement around the valve seals.  I can not find any inf on this on any web sight that deals with valve springs.  They were installed with the motor when I bought it so I dont konw what brand?
