I have a big block chevy 454 that is new with 15 hrs on it! I have it in my 18' wriedt v hull with a berkly pump A impellar the boat gps'ed 5 times between 78 n 82! Im steping up to a blown motor so this must go!

It is a gen 6 block 4 bolt main with steel crank!
large oval port heads
isky cam 672lift, 278,262, 112 lobe center hyd roller
double roller timing chain
mellings hi volume oil pump
dooley 12 quart jet boat pan w/ windage tray
weiand alum intake, been machined to the inside
hei distrib.
MSD 8.5 red wires
Holley blue pump / regulater
Holley 750 carb
chrome valve covers w/ breathers
new starter & alternater few weeks ago

it may help to let folks know what rpm you spun the "A".

BTW, if I went 80 w/a A it would probably take >6k.

For some reason this whole thing surprized alot of people even the guy that built it ,but at 82 it was running at 5400 rpm! I never ran this motor harder than that but it seemed to love it so, but now what i found with gsp systems is that they will have 4 to 5 mph variance depending on the unit ,but for the most part  accuarate!
