I have polished all the blue off a set of twisties bfore. I polish mine out all the time right up to the heads , semichrome or mothers will do the trick. I talked to a guy at a chrome shop and he showed me a freshly chromed part and it was funky. they polish that stuff after the chrome too, which would take care of your blueing. granted it comes backbut now i have my tune up right it only blues for a few inches off the head. blue black is good, gold not so good.
