Built 990 heads, $4000

now that ROMPERSTOMPER deleted his thread, mine isn't as funny any more. Please refer to the new thread if you want to actually buy anything. i'll try not to muck it up too bad.

If anyone wants a reasonably priced set of 990s, I've got a set ported/polished freshly resurfaced w/ matched chambers, set up for a .750 lift solid roller. I'm selling them because I picked up a badass set of Dart Pro-1s with the same setup "slightly used" for $1800.
In addition to getting these heads, which are awesome for $4000...there are a few freebees.

A 13:1 compression 468 shortblock w/ a 5140 crank, CAT H-beam rods, and venoila pistons. Also included is a set of slightly bent headers w/ evac tubes, a hot rod cam (specs unknown, but it runs good) lifters, rockers, pushrods, jet boat oil pan, oil pump, balancer, chrome crank pulley, HEI distributor, Holley single plane manifold, and a maybe 750 edelbrock carburetor if I can swipe it off of Belmir's boat..

But that's not all.

I'll also throw in a set of chrome valve covers for NO ADDITIONAL COST!!!!

"IF" this post is slamming ROMPERSTOMPER you are a fool. He is a friend of mine and he is just trying to sell some shit he paid decent money for and wants decent money back. Who are you to chastize him for that. It would never even cross my mind to bash someone that is trying to sell something. If you arent buying the parts why even post. What if there was a guy looking at buying them becasue these parts because they are worth it and you changed his mind, also just preventing ROMPER from getting his truck fixed. And if you have ever seem ROMPER's boat/motor its a mean motha fucka. so bottom line keep your b/s post to your self because you looked more and more ignorant the more and more i read your post bashing his parts. who are you to name the price of the shit he is selling.

You asked if you were asking too much, I answered with "yes" and gave the reasons why I feel you were asking too much. That's it. I've been doing this a long time and I have a pretty good idea of what parts go for when you're not buying them NEW IN BOX.

I have nothing against you. I made my post because 1, I've got a motor I need to get rid of and 2, after the fun we had in your thread last night, I figured I'd write the add and have a little fun doing it. That's what we do around here. A simple "**** you prick" response from you in my thread would have made me giggle.

I can honestly tell you that you'll never get $2000 for those heads...not because they're junk, but because that's simply way to much money for 990s, regardless of their condition.

I would also advise you to watch it with the calling out to meet up with people online....That is looked at in a lot of cases as a threat and I've seen more than a few occasions where legal action has been taken. I'm not that kind of prick though so when we do meet up...and we will, it'll likely be over a beer at the catfish (I'll buy) If I were you I would delete that part of the post before people who care more than me see it.

Sorry man, didn't mean to ruffle your feathers, just having a bit of fun while trying to unload some stuff out of the garage.

hours? I dunno. The heads have about 7 weekends on 'em.

$3000, no, carb or ignition...and you put the heads back on. I'll still give you the headers. I have no use for bent headers.

I've also got a set of plates and a rail kit that can go with it....the price depends on how much (and more importantly, what kind of) beer you bring when you come to pick it all up.

3 what kind of crank?
4 how much lift? solid roller or?
5. Tell me more about the heads?
6. What kind of rockers?
7. What kind of push rods? and guide plates.
8. stud girdles?
9. want kind of valve covers and oil pan? brand names
10. is the short block assymbled? is the oil pan on or off.
11. do you have the last oil filter that you ran it with?
12. will you let me inspect the motor for damage. remove pan and intake to inspect?
13.what type of timing chain, gear drive, belt drive, chain drive?
14. did it run on pump gas or race gas?
15. what kind of oil pump?
16. have the dinosor heads been sonic checked or flow benched?
17 what year block or gen?
18 whats the hp?
19. whats the peak rpm range on that motor?
20.Is the block and heads studded or bolted?
