I want to say the block was around 78. I blew the motor on my old boat. Bought a new boat with a 454 no need for it

Are there some years that required diff starters? I thought most all 460s used the same one. I could use it but I have no idea what year the block is.

2 bolt or 3? How does it mount in relation to the bell housing? I'll have to see which type I need later today. But I'm in Corona M-F so shipping shouldn't be a problem.
