Small block odds and ends
« on: September 29, 2015, 07:14:30 PM »
Before I buy new, just seeing what's out there.

Looking for one wire chrome alternator
Water inlet ports
New head bolts or studs
Oil pan studs
Timing cover

What other odds and ends for a SBC do you have laying around?

For head bolts, these are affordable

http://www.speedwaymotors.com/Speedway-Small-Block-Chevy-Head-Bolt-Set,3225.html   35 bux

Timing set- same as higher $$$ name brands-

http://www.summitracing.com/parts/sum-g6600-9/overview/make/chevrolet   30 bux

cheap chrome timing covers are just that, cheap- 7 bux, speedway, buy an aluminum one

I make water port plates out of 3/8" aluminum and a gasket, drill and tap for 3/8" pipe threads.

several alt's, none chrome or 1 wire

Hope this helps some
