Hey guys and gals, the wife and I are trying to make the trip this weekend, just curious about some of the details.
Where is everyone launching and is there a meet up spot?
I think we'll be heading out Friday afternoon, staying at one of the hotels in town, spending the day on the water with you guys Saturday and unfortunately heading for home Saturday evening (we have a prior engagement on Sunday).

The park is just down the hill from the Big River Inn, if you google map search "Big River Community Services District", it will take you right there. Once you find the park entrance, you go down the hill, and turn right after the toll booth ($25/day to launch - I'm STILL working on a better deal). We use the ramp all the way down at the end on the south side of the park.
The cove we hang out in is out of the current, but its always good to have a good anchor with you. The current is strong on this stretch of the river. Dont try to launch/retrieve by yourself, there is always plenty of us around willing to help.
