2014 Southwind Regatta

Official Dates are 26-28th of September.

The Regatta will be on saturday the 27th. I am working on a BBQ deal and maybe a band to play saturday night at McIntyre.
Location will be different from last year but still in between KOA Riviera and McIntyre. Still working on it.
Awards will be given out for best southwind 18, 18 t deck, 19tunnel, 20 cruiser and longest haul.

New awards will be given for best 20 ft or smaller V-Bottom, Daytona style v-drive( if any), Best 21 or bigger, Best of show is open to all boats this year.

With 10 awards this year, if anybody is willing to donate shirts, stickers, product, ect... for the regatta please let me know.

Shirts will be sold on saturday at the event like last year.

Maybe a horseshoe tournament given the amount of space. we will have.

Well I was at hidden beaches all weekend and the past 3 weekends and it was way low but it's always low in winter .. But I dnt no . Pray for snow

U can stay at hotel right as u cross over the 10 bridge instead of getting off at intake keep going 1-2 mile on right call this 928) 923-9711

We still at motel 6 Blythe, Ca it's around 5 miles to McIntyre we've had no problems the boat has been safe

that's in the Flying J truck stop parking lot you will have traffic coming and going all night long I've spent many nights there in my truck but haven't stayed at the hotel it could be nice but on a good note you'll have cinnabon for breakfast and Wendy's for dinner at flying j lol

Id be kinda nervous staying there just because its so busy all night. Id be up all night just to check on the boat.
My preference is best value inn or best western sahara in Blythe

The best hotels i would go with would be Clarion Inn, Americas Best Value Inn, Regency Inn & Suites Blythe, and Best Western Sahara. those have good prices and lots of parking. Theres a new holiday inn being built right by the 10 freeway and 95. but i dont think it will be finished in time.

Cant wait for this!!!

That hotel at the flying j is coo and hotel is awesome best breakfast and it's all free and the pool is there Sam,me ,Jason Keith took over that place last year we BBQ got drunk in pool area the spa and then u can wander around its cool plus the water is like 100-200 yards

If you park behind the hotel (east side) you're kind of hidden from the main traffic of the Flying J. We didn't have any problems with people wondering around.
