The Bluewater resort has a lot to offer including a full 24/7 casino, fully stocked bars, live cover band or DJ on weekends w/ dance floor, large pool area with huge water slides, a large Arcade with miniature golf. They also have an RV park if you want to roll in with your RV. They also has a 164 slip marina and lots of parking for boat trailers. There is also a launch ramp at the casino. The launch fee's are waved as a part of this package. Please ask the front desk for details when checking in. As guests, we also get free use of the beach - dont let the guy charge you to park down there.

This is that trip. Depending on other events (boat races) and where Easter falls, this event falls either late March or early April.

The only serious thing to be aware of, and I will reiterate this more as the event comes closer, is that the ENTIRE RIVER in front of the Bluewater is a No Wake Zone. A couple of guys last year came out of the marina and got on it. One of them got pulled over. So from the dam all the way past the RV park is a no wake zone.
LOL I remember my first time there, couldn't figure out why there were no bouys. I couldn't figure out where the No Wake Zone was. Had a bunch of folks yelling at me and I just didn't put 2 and 2 together real quick. DOH ! Fortunately never saw a cop, just a few pissed boaters. Hey I wasn't the only one either.

Has anyone noticed that as of right now 87 people have RSVP'd for this event on facebook? It's just under 50 days until this event still. The most RSVP's we received last year was Mothers Day at the Avi last year and that was only 53 people RSVP'd.
Yeah, they are all just clicks of 'yeah, im going' but doesnt mean all of them will actually show up, but if the numbers/statistics mean anything, this will be a huge event. I am really looking forward to seeing you all there.

Mostly everyone stays near the Bluewater day beach and makes a few runs up river.

Yeah, big fat no on moving south. I'm I'm the heart of Silicon Valley and have on what is called the golden handcuffs. I make way too much right now to move anywhere.
My grandparents had a house in a Oregon near the Rogue River and this trailer in Big River, they dropped out of the rainy season and headed down to the Colorado when it got too cold.
My dad bought it from the estate and had it for a little while then sold it. The new owners never did anything transferring it in there name and never paid the registration or lease fees. My dad for a call, so he paid everything up and poof. He got it back. We figure we might as well use it for a while. We are in it virtually nothing.
We'll see how it works out.

Went over a derail. My engineer wasn't paying attention and when I told him to stop it took to long and we went on the ground. It was both of our faults really.

Keep an eye on your boats, last year someone sucked my tanks almost dry, 10 gallons of co 110 and 8 gallons of c12. Hope whoever did its shit blew up. Some jackass ran that in his 82 Buick station wagon.

That's why we are getting the cat to take care of the dam bird. We had to find one with the right attitude RTCP picked this one up he is in the mail now.

I have job insurance, but don't need it for this. Nothing is coming of it because it was more my engineers fault. Good luck with your engineer training. I don't know how it is for you guys, but for us if you don't pass you have to leave the company. You can't go back to being a conductor. And the seniority is so gapped that you'd be on call for about 15-20 years as an engineer.

Yeah if we don't pass we can go back to being conductors. There are a lot of jobs on the amtrak side and a lot of the older guys are getting ready to retire.most have 35 years plus. lol
