There will be no hotel group rate set up for this trip. The Avi is sold out but there is several hotels in Laughlin available. Last year the majority stayed at the Pioneer. They were open to us hanging out and having a few drinks in the parking lot all night. Ample boat parking and its right outside the rooms. Its not a 5 star resort, but its decent. Their rates are at about $30/night online right now for that weekend. I called to confirm that they have plenty of rooms available.

Well, I've had my coffin booked for over two months. ;)
The Hallett is going down to B1 racing on Tuesday the 16th of Sep. for a new intake, fiberglass repair on the bottom, shoe and ride plate and god knows what else Chris finds to repair. :P.
I'm still waiting on the new Steff's B&B oil pan but it should arrive soon.
The oil pickup appears to not have been damaged and after cutting the oil filter with my die grinder the filter did it's job. ;)
Just kidding on the die grinder folks.
The oil pump and pick up on the Foxwell engine were made for this oil pan so my pick up clearance should not be a problem.
I will double check the oil pick up to pan clearance with some silly putty :D just to make sure that the oil pickup was not molested from any impact contact with the pan.
Oh, the old pan was punctured by an intake bolt, tight clearance issues.
Chris will take care of the prior issue.
Wish me luck folks on making this trip.
I cannot thank Jim and Dennis enough for coming up on Memorial Day to pull my engine. You guys rock.

I would trim those bolts down if possible. I had about a penny's worth of clearance. One puncture wound and three hard impacts on the bottom of the pan and ten quarts of Mobil One Racing 4T oil in the bilge.
The Stef's oil pan is basically a conversation piece now.
Keep an eye on it Justin.

Thanks for the offer Eric. I have a hoist and an engine stand. I need to pull the flywheel and get the engine out of the cradle dolly and on to the engine stand. I'll try to get the new oil pan installed this weekend.

Volt meter has already sold sorry if you were needing one. The fuse deal is large but not very large. The tow ropes are in good condition for our next outing. I think I covered all that was in question. On a side note you better turn up the boost Dennis is coming after you should be good watching.dennis better pick up the lifeline just saying 😜

Sounds good not sure how many miles to Avi from were we launch. Lazy Harry's is close as far as I can tell.9 miles tops to Avi but the late night racing may eat up gas

He maybe playing you Danny he had four people in the boat, easy up, cooler and four chairs. I was just running 85 mph on a trip to the cove when he came by me like I was in the no wake zone. I barely got an ID on him as he came by I would hate to even guess how fast he was going. When I did meet up with him on the beach I found out I was wrong about his payload he also so had a large dog of some sort on top of the above list. With that said I will put two beer on Dennis in the SS Minnow. :beer: :beer:sounds like you need to step up 😜. But 18's will always be quicker 👍

Be the bigger person and lift if someone wants to be a dick and try to make it 3 wide. If a wave runner jumps out, LIFT! Don't race around him. If the water gets ugly (ie roller) back out of it! I know it seems like common stuff but a little etiquette goes a long way.👍

Intense repairs on the bottom however.
Chris chose not to do the shoe and ride plate as it required way too much surgery to the bottom of the boat and he felt that my boat would not benefit from that modification. I left it up to Chris and I trust his judgment.
I don't want to slight anyone so in alphabetical order, thanks again Chris, Danny, Dennis and Jim for making this weekend possible for Erika and me.

Monday morning as Erika and I were loading the truck we noticed a big dent in the driver side above the fuel fill door. The dent was not there when I filled the truck on Sunday morning or when we parked the boat and wiped it down before going to dinner Sunday evening. I spoke with Pioneer security and they are going to review the surveillance tapes and see if they can come up with something.
It appears that the dent was not caused by vehicular contact, no scratches, no off color paint or evidence of metal on metal contact.
I'm leaning more towards vandalism as the cause of the damage. BUT WHY? :(
Someone could have had a field day with my boat and a few other boats in the parking lot Sunday night.
Thank God for Insurance. I'll see what the body shop says tomorrow. What a fucking inconvenience!

It was great seeing you as always.
I got a call back from the Pioneer.
The security tapes from the parking lot indicate a person next to my truck applying human force (damage) to my truck.
They want me to drive back up, review the tapes and see if I can possibly identify the individual.
We will see how it all works out. What an inconvenience.

THD that sucks bro. We had a bad problem on the way home too. My truck would only go about 10mph all the way home so instead of taking one hour or so it took 6 hours to get home pulled over about 15 times fuel pump went out and nothing I could in the middle of no were so we just took it slow. I hope u find out who messed up your truck. That's a chicken shit thing to do to a good person. Shit will come back to him we all know carma is a bitch. Also great seeing everybody. 74kona

major damage to the truck, minor damage to the boat. Another vehicle lost control and took ours out.
Again, sorry it took a while to post up, I've been trying to deal with all the accident stuff.
I wanted everybody to know that at least on this trip JR didn't do anything malicious to the SCJB crew,
and to make sure he didn't get blamed for something he didn't do.
