The norm is around 10, can't really go up river till a 11ish when the water comes up. Some people like to get there early and do some bench racing aka lying to each other lol

I believe we have figured out a room situation so we are in. If it didn't work out we were gonna atleast come up for the day since we have our spot in Blythe.

The BLM has first come first serve Campgrounds on the California side of Parker Strip a few miles up river (on the river) where the Blue Water Casino is for $5 per night. Enough room for all. It is called "Crossroads"

Gunna be a hot one this weekend. 115°!!

When is everyone getting there? My dad flys in Wednesday night. We're going to head down Thursday morning. No direct plan as of yet, but prob launch at bluewater Friday morning and drive up to roadrunner for breakfast. Put back on the trailer around noon and head down to Big River for the rest of the day.

Heading out early Friday.
I plan to go thru Lucerne Valley this time. I had to go down to Riverside for a Cal Fire airspace conference a few weeks ago. Hwy 138 is never much fun and the 15 was scary in a govt. F250 with all the lanes narrowed. I thought to myself I'm not getting my boat and trailer next to those K barriers.
So I will give Lucerne Valley a try. I have not gone that route since the 80s. Anything I need to look out for going that route?
