I want to try and make the Fathers Day trip, but Ive never been to big river.  I hear the big river inn is probably full by now, can anyone recommend anywhere else? And what days should I get rooms for, wheres the launch ramp...  Just need some first timer help.  Had a blast at the Avi, and im pretty sure my lady is hooked so I should make more trips this year.  Thanks

You can look for rooms in Parker that would be the closest place with quite a few options for lodging and is only 10 min away from the launch ramp in big river I will be staying at the blue water rv resort that weekend and driving into big river

Park. It's a day park right next to big river inn. If you look at last years Big
River trip thread, Brad posted all the
nearest motels in Parker or theres
always Bluewater if you can't get in
to BRI. If you need more info give me

Big River RV park is about a mile up river...if anyone wants to bring their motorhomes out, there's always room.  Also, if the motel fills up, the RV park has a Park Model trailer for rent right near the beach.

BR RV park is upriver a 1/2 mile or so.  The BR "day use area" is next door to the motel, and exists for the motel guests and BR residents.   There used to be a place in Parker that would come down and set up weekend rental trailers in the RV park...dunno if they're still around. 

Brad, how many didn't get into the motel?...I assume a few of you got rooms.

Lost lake is the next resort down river 30$ camping .full hookup.you can get to big river on boat about 10 minutes upriver
