Bullet fuel tanks install for 73 Kona

Just picked up these aluminum tanks for cheap. The dimensions are 50 X 8 and will only fit in the very rear of the boat without changing up my rear bench which I don’t want to do. How do I go about installing them? I know a lot of people are glassing them so I may go that route but can I get away with strapping them? Any input would be helpful, I just got this boat and the fiberglass fuel tank In the bow is disintegrating and want to know if I should cut that old tank out as well or leave it in and fil it with something for weight distribution? Any input would be greatly appreciated! Still new to this whole jet boating life and getting these damn tanks in is the only thing holding me back from putting it on the water lol

I posted an old Hot Boat article about mounting brackets for saddle tanks.
Is there any way you could move them forward a bit? It might help the weight distribution. I would cut out that bow tank and be done with it. If you filled it, you would just plow through the water like a freighter. Weight is the enemy of a boat.

Cool thanks I’ll try to find that article. And no I can’t move the tanks forward at all without modifying the bench seat or getting different tanks that fit better.
