Chips in the paint, need help..
« on: June 01, 2015, 02:06:08 PM »
Hey guys I am looking at buying this eliminator jet. I showed up to look at the boat and the first thing I noticed was the chips in the paint. The boat has been capped and the owner appeared to be a little lazy when docking it and the paint chipped in some areas. I can't tell if it's paint or gel coat. The rest of the paint job is really nice. Any ideas on how much work it would be to fix these if I were to buy the boat?

Hi. It's really hard to give accurate quote without seeing damage first hand. If you're local, you can bring boat by the shop and we can get you squared away. Keep in mind, spot repairs like this are more than just painting the chipped area. For beautiful results... you'd be looking at most if not all of capped area repainted.  Possible glass work/filling of chipped spots. Good news is, white is the cheapest color.
send me a pm if you'd like to discuss it further.
