The original gel coat has been painted over on my boat (x2). Any way to get off the paint to bring it back to its original look ?

I used paint stripper for fiberglass planes and cars it worked good took off several layers of gross paint and didnt touch the gel i put on 2 applications seemed to work the best you can see before and after on my project thread in boat showcase

heres a link to what i used   http://www.m-tc.com/paint_stripper/fiberglass_paint_stripper.htm

X2, I used stripper to get the paint off my project too, it didnt hurt the gel.  Just be warned, you never know what you will find under that paint (old repairs, cracking gel, pink gel, you never know).
