Wax on Wax off, wax on wax off:
Since the engine is still out of the boat I thought I'd take advantage of the opportunity to do some long awaited detailing:

Long time friend Ron Segni oversees the operation and gives directions. Ron raced several Gullwings over a 12 year period and won 9 Championships over that 12 year's. He knows a thing or two about GW's. Although the strakes were pretty straight the bottom had high and low spots in it and some hook on the drivers side.

Area of detail defined: 4ft up each side and 4ft in-front of the intake:

Sand, fill, measure, sand, fill, measure, sand, fill, measure, sand, fill, measure. You get the idea:

Getting closer to perfect today, but I'm getting tired of the sanding:

The baseline for the boat is 99.8 mph at 6,200 no Nos full tanks. 108.6 mph at 6,800 on the Nos. Hopefully the detailing will get the boat to 102-104 off the Nos. We'll see sometime this Summer.
